Pickup is available in Port Chalmers or Dunedin city. Expect walking, hills, changing wildlife sightings, and no guaranteed penguin count.

“We had a rocky start as the bus-driver did not come to the information center at the Octagon to pick us up (as requested) and had started the tour only with the cruzship passangers and without us. We had to call the tour-operator multiple times and then finally he came, so we missed part of the city tour. The drive to the Penguin Reserve was scenic, but the Bus was pretty old which made the ride very bumpy. We definately would have appreciated a better newer Bus.”
